Hi, I’m Annie Jenkins and I’ve been shooting since my freshman year of highschool. I am now a junior at Saline High School and I’m president of the Photography club. I’ve loved everything involving the visual and fine arts since I was a little kid. I’ve been a dancer for 14 years and I play Guitar and Piano and I sing as well. I love to travel and photograph nature, some of my favorite places to shoot are in northern Michigan, including Indian River, Torch Lake, Black Lake, and Burt Lake. I’ve lived in the Ann Arbor area for my whole life and I love being in such a diverse and welcoming environment. I’m a Camp Counselor at the Ann Arbor YMCA’s Camp Al-Gon-Quian on Burt Lake every summer, and one of my favorite things about being a camp counselor is getting to make lasting relationships with my co-counselors and campers. I’m very much a people person, which is why I enjoy working in customer service here at Camera Mall. When I started shooting in 9th grade, I shot mostly black and white film and developed it myself. I hope to continue shooting black and white and get more experience with color film in the future.
Here is some of my work
