I grew up in Northern lower Michigan and can scarcely remember a time when I didn't have a camera in my hands. Over the years I have developed a deep love for vintage, niche cameras; such as my 1997 Polaroid Spice Cam that was my first ever brand-new-to-me camera. In high school I received my dad's SLR as a hand me down and started taking Black and White photography classes at my school. I studied at Northern Michigan University in Marquette where I received my B.F.A. in Art & Design and Photography. Some photography highlights from that time include documenting NMU's marching band (I was a former member) and a documentary project focusing on Bingo culture in the city.

I love working with both film and digital photography, and I really love digging into post production archiving projects. Because of my early access to it I love to teach the tiny humans in my life about photography and cameras. Outside of photography I love gardening, reading, theme park history, and traveling (especially to theme parks!).
